Day Treatment and Training (Tucson)

This service is provided to adults with developmental disabilities and focuses on training, supervision, therapeutic activities, and other services to promote skills development in independent living, self-care, communication, and social relationships. We provide person-centered services that focus on community access. An individual service plan is developed to help you increase their independent functioning and personal/social skills through integrated community setting and activities.

Parenting Program (Tucson)

Services are provided to parents with developmental and other disabilities and to parents with children who have developmental disabilities. Parenting skills training is provided in the home of the family and concentrates on the stages of child developmnet, child management techniques, nurturing of children, personal problem solving, and using community resources. For familites with developmentally disabled children, early intervention services are provided with the goal of working with the family to support the development of their child and by supporting the family's routine and way of life. Each family is viewed as having a rich and unique culture and they are supported and encouraged to interact with their children within their community in ways they choose to participate.

Ticket to Work

Beacon Group is an Employment Network under the Ticket to Work Program. The Ticket Program is designed to assist Social Security beneficiaries enter employment and it is totally voluntary. Beneficiaries receiving tickets have the choice of contacting one or more Employment Networks to discuss services. Beacon Group will work with your to develop an Individual Work Plan (IWP) that will outline the services to be provided to assist you in reaching your employment goals. We will be glad to discuss your employment options and choices with you.

Career Retention and Advancement Program

The Career Retention and Advancement Program provides case-management and supportive services to individuals with disabilities who are currently employed. The goal of the program is to assis employees in removing barriers that may interfere with job retention, and to help identify areas for career advancement. Case managers may meet with employees on site to provide educational and technical assistance in the areas of employee performance counseling, job accommodation and worskite modification, co-worker training, and accessibility issues. Prgram participants may also receive information, referral and assistance with workplace, housing, transportation, finance, benefits and other issues.

The Career Retention and Advancement Program is a 36-month federal grant throught the U.S. Department of Education and there is no cost for these services. The only requirements are that participants are currently employed and have a disability.

The Career Retention and Advancement Program serves individuals in both Maricopa and Pima counties.
